Dr. Isenberg is a leadership consultant, executive coach, and corporate educator with over 25 years experience in 13 countries working with several industry sectors including Financial, Technology, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Retail, Manufacturing, Defense, Information and Security, and Professional Services.
Steve specializes in developing leaders, and brings expertise in interpersonal skills, influencing through personal power, problem solving, executive presence, running effective meetings, high impact courageous conversations, managing change, and inspirational leadership.
Trained as a licensed psychologist, Dr. Isenberg entered the corporate arena in 1987 providing training and management consulting at Digital Equipment Corporation for 5 years where he designed and delivered programs for leading change. He has very robust skills in identifying the strengths leaders need to leverage, clarifying development opportunities, and overcoming personal obstacles to moving forward effectively. Examples of his coaching work include: Enhancing the interpersonal skills of a Senior Director at a high technology company; Working with a VP Head of Global Customer Service for a world leader in information storage and security to structure and implement a strategy for creating a high performance team; Coaching a new VP Head of Sales and Marketing in pharmaceuticals for the Middle East to quickly re-build trust and motivation for reaching financial targets among direct reports turned off by former leadership. Leaders coached by Steve achieve recognized and rewarded results and go on to assume roles of higher responsibility and success.
Steve is certified in several assessment tools which help leaders identify their strengths, preferences, development opportunities, and leadership brand including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Hogan Systems, and the Survey of Influence Effectiveness. He holds a Masters Degree in psychology from Indiana State University and a Doctorate in psychology from Boston University. He resides in the Boston area.
